I have already been to Lincoln Park twice, and will probably be going back for more. Although it does get easily crowded on a friday or saturday, during the week it's perfect for a glass of Chenin at the bar, accompanied by small bites. Don't think I need to mention the freshness of the ingredients, as the chalkboard concept does all the talking. This allows for a constantly surprising and inviting menu. So far my favorites have been the burrata bowl, the panzanella with watermelon and crispy calamari, and the mussel bruschetta. The bittersweet chocolate pudding was simple, yet delightful. Exactly what I needed to end my evening. The wine list had also changed by my second visit, and I was able to enjoy a beautiful, sweet Skywalker Ranch rose. I was definitely impressed, and am looking forward to more Lincoln Park in the future!

I love this place. Perfect service and the best calamari I've ever had--and it's gluten free by request! Everything from the people to the decor is so fun, welcoming and cool. I hope this is the first of many fun places in San Anselmo--we need more night life here!

fantastic dining experience! deep fried deviled eggs with sriracha. we ate other very awesome things, but the deviled eggs were the clear winner. just do it. lovely selection of wines, friendly service, and relatively low-key vibe on an early Thursday evening. just how i like it. looking forward to our next visit!

Cute space, and pretty bustling! $10 small carafe of wine during happy hour, which is basically a glass and a half. One or two whites and a red. Food may have something to be desired. Jalapeño poppers with "fondue" inside had a thick dense crust, and with the pepper seeds all intact, definitely too spicy to eat. Kale salad was nice with baby dino kale leaves, nuts and sweet potato cubes. One server for an entirely packed restaurant. Wow.

Shouldn't a wine bar have more than 10 whites and 9 red wines to choose from??! The server did not know her wines. She sure tried, but it was apparent that she was still learning the basics. Besides the extremely limited selection of wines at a wine bar.....the food was not that great. Ordered the "strawberry" shortcake (which was good with homemade shortcake) but found out that there wasn't a single strawberry! Maybe I'm too old school, but should you actually deliver on what you ADVERTISE??!

Friends and I landed here on accident while in the area on Memorial Day -- and I'm so glad we did. It looked cute and had a nice outdoor area where we could sit with our dog, so we decided to try it out. They had a great happy hour -- 8ML carafe for $10, which included a red and white option. I was expecting to be less impressed by this great deal, but the wine was delicious! We also tried out the fried deviled eggs (the server noted that there was a Texan in the kitchen), the jalapeno poppers, hand-cut fries and the artisan cheese plate. None of the choices disappointed. Above all, the service was spectacular. It was a bit cold outside and as we had a dog, we were not able to sit inside. The server brought out scarves and vests for us and extended the happy hour so we could enjoy our meal a bit longer. It was so quaint and a truly lovely experience. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

Keeping it simple Pros Affordable Minimal outdoor seating but still an option Brussel Sprouts-cooked well, liked the sweet coating from the cabernet syrup Cons MHBB-spiced butter tasted like cold butter (no spice at all), bread was solid and portion was good Fondue-wine flavor was too overpowering, flavor was definitely one note, skimpy on apples Buttermilk Fried Chicken Drumettes-coating was burnt, zero seasoning in chicken and coating, wasn't fully cooked through (side of spice greens tasted of only mayonnaise) Draft variety of beer is decent but price to portion leaves something to be desired Service was attentive without being intrusive Overall Thoughts Perhaps this was the case of truly an off day...

We made it to this place through a recommendation from a friend. We ordered the Fried Brussels Sprouts. They are delicious and dipped in Cabernet syrup, you can share this with at least 2 people. We tried the Pt. Reyes White Cheddar Fondue and it comes with apples and toast. It was tasty. We also ordered the Skywalker Ranch Wagu Beef Slider. You can share this with another person. I recommend sharing a couple of dishes when dining here with a group of people. We also got a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon.

I bounced into this little spot about 5:40 Saturday night and sat at the bar. It was myself at the bar and one couple in the dinning area. They had a separate area past the bar with dining tables and I love it when places do that. This fact accompanied with the lovely steel and wood decor, pleasantly fun music in the background and an Audrey Hepburn movie silently playing on the flat screen made me feel like I had found where I wanted to spend the rest of my life. They had the wine smartly listed from "fruity" to "fat" and had a good range in between. A sign out front read "5-6 pm Happy Hour". I never did find out what that included but ordered a glass of wine and a plate from there "bar bites" menu. At first I couldn't pick out a wine and the bartender, Kirsten, was nice enough to offer a sampling, she was actually really nice the entire time I was there. I declined and settled on an $11 pour of the Primitivo - Rosa d Oro. It was one of the lesser priced pours, but it still did not disappoint. It was warm with hints of black pepper. I also ordered the plate of Padrone Peppers for $7, I would recommend sharing this as it is a lot of peppers for one to eat alone, but I was by myself and really wanted to try them. They came tossed in honey and topped with feta cheese. Ugh,I almost wanted to kiss the peppers instead of eating them. All but one were very sweet and the one that was the exception was so spicy it practically bit me on the tongue. The bartendress made a joke that it was much like a game of "pepper roulette". I liked this game. I wanted to try either the chocolate or butter scotch pudding they had for dessert, but had other places to stop on my night out in San Anselmo. Please someone try the dessert for me and tell me how it is.

One of my favorite places to go to when I'm in the neighborhood. I love the art of the walls (rotating artists -- check it out), the arugala salad, Watkins Family Wines (a/k/a "Holly's wine"), the jalapeño poppers & french fries, and the butterscotch/caramel pudding for a sweet finale. Menu items do change with the seasonal menu. There are many daily specials that are not included on the menu, so inquire about them. Servers Charlee & Kirsten provide service with charm. Catch Chef Simmons when he's there and sous-chef Paul is the best. If you're not satisfied with the food or drink, just mention it to your server and he/she will try to make it right. I've really enjoyed getting to know the staff there -- everyone is so friendly! The outdoor seating is limited to just a few tables.

A jewel in San Anselmo! Small plates but big flavor. We loved the brussel sprouts, asparagus, arugula, and mussels. But the best of all was the chocolate pudding! Thank you Charlie for a wonderful evening. See you again very soon!

Stopped in this gem to meet a friend. Enjoyed mussels and deep fried brussels sprouts along with several well chosen wines. Became reacquainted with Roses based on recommendation from Holly (who knows much about local wines). Spent several hours casually enjoying food, wine and friendship at outside tables (close to street but lovely). Service was outstanding, selection great - no bad choices. Great find!

I was very underwhelmed by this restaurant. 2 stars because the wine pours were super small and served in the wrong type of glass. I am sorry but if you are a wine bar then you are held to higher standards when it comes to the actual glass of wine in terms of how to serve and the temperature to serve it. Not to mention really expensive for the wimpy pour ($15). This made it hard to like this place right from the start. The food was decent but inconsistent - some dishes were good. They were sold out of a couple dishes at 7.30pm, which I found odd since it was so early on a Saturday night. Just poor planning. After the meal of $110, my husband and I were still hungry so we down the street to another restaurant for a cocktail and dessert. I might try them again for a happy hour but never for dinner. I highly suggest they get the wine part figured out.

OK so here's the deal. After posting my previous review the owner did contact me and ask me to give them a second chance. I always go back without letting anyone know because it's important to have an un-biased experience. This time, things were quite different. The service was great and the food was not so much. They've made some changes since we've been here- looks to have a constant menu of a few things. Also there seems to be some acoustic panels to deaden the space, as it was quite loud the last time we were here. It was pretty dead for a Friday night. We wound up sitting next to a group of marin moms who spent their entire meal discussing bodily functions (gas, burping, farting, leaking fluids). Let's start with the wine. I'm of the opinion that just because a place is a wine bar with a good selection doesn't mean it has to be very expensive. I ordered the Cab by the glass and was asked if i wanted the 4oz or 8 oz pour. Silly me I thought the prices were for a glass or half carafe. So basically, i paid $24 for one 8 oz pour of wine. Sure it was delicious, a double gold medal winner i was told, but you have to be joking if you think a business is sustainable offering wine at those prices. The rest of the wine by the glass menu was similiar, not a single 8 0z glass of wine under $20. On to the food. We ordered the grilled artichoke which was just the hear, no leaves, and pretty fibrous. The sauce was globbed in a heap on the plate, and was pretty flavor-less. The beef slider was tasty, but I probably won't be paying $10 for a slider in the near future. The risotto was gummy and meh- tasted like the freezer risotto I got at Trader Joes that one time. The one thing we did like were the chicken wings, crispy on the outside with a little kick. Look I feel bad giving them a 2 star review, but honestly it was a 2 star experience. The service was really nice, both from our server and the bartender, and the other server who brought us our food. I really really wanted to like this place and redeem them with a second visit. But before tip our bill was $92 and we weren't that impressed. We've had better food for cheaper, so I'm sad to say this one is getting crossed off the list.

I really wanted to like this restaurant but the prices are hard to swallow given the portions, pun intended. The sunchokes and cheese plate were enjoyable and the slider was ok but not for the price...

Sweet little wine bar with a good selection. Each dish had it's own flavor rather than the same base flavor. The owner is welcoming and charming.

Wandered in here on Wed 11/27, Thanksgiving eve about 8:45 PM. THANKGOODNESS the other wine bar around the corner was wrapping up early and referred us over here. I needed chocolate after a great sushi dinner at Sushi69. We had the choc pudding and 2 glasses of port. The pudding was exactly what I wanted. A very good serving size for two, had a caramel sauce over it with just a hint of orange I believe? Def will order this again! The port was a great compliment. Service was quick as we just sat at the bar. Will be back to try the menu!

Had a great experience here during "wine hour." If you are in the area, try the broccolini with puffed quinoa. For dessert try the crepe of the day. The wine selection is great. While the list focuses on California wines, there are some great options, most of whom from good boutique producers. Both the staff and the owner are friendly and we were made to feel right at home.

Sweet little wine bar with delicious eats and warm, smiling faces. This is my kind of place. Easy to unwind and talk, it's an intimate and relaxed atmosphere, with tasty dishes, an extensive and diverse wine list and charming service. I met a friend for dinner here last night. We split the Brussels sprouts app and each had the albacore as a main dish. Both were excellent, light yet flavorful, and the albacore, in particular, made a very pretty presentation. We split a bottle of Fatto e Mano ('made by hand'), a delightful white wine whose name escapes me other than it's a handcrafted, small batch winery out of Geyserville and came highly recommended. They must make more... I hope?? All in all, a lovely little place for a great dinner and conversation. I will be back.

I've raved about this place to so many, which is why I was so surprised by my last two experiences there. Both times, our server was in inattentive and unhelpful. I'm sad to say, I'm wary about returning.

Ok so I decided to give this establishment another shot. I mean the first time I ventured here it was nearly new and everyone and place deserves another shot right? Well I am happy I did. The dishes were really tasty - (in order of rank) the sliders were cooked perfectly and the bun was lovely and crispy; the sunchokes had great textures and a lovely sauce, the endive salad was great except the endive, And the cheese board was a bit odd- especially with the capers and orange rind like smear on the plate... I did miss the honey comb and think they should put that on all of their cheese boards. All in all though a nice meal.

This restaurant was chosen by my friend who is a "foodie' and a wine buff. Am I ever grateful! Service was lovely, pleasant, efficient, accommodating. While i don't drink wine, for wine tasting options, they offer wine in 3, 6 or 9 ounce servings. They have top of the line Boylan's root beer...the best. The food (small plates) was exquisite. Watermelon with lightly fried calamari was a bouquet of complementary flavors and delicious. I don't like kale but their kale salad made me a convert...to their kale salad. And the slider was the best I had ever eaten...prepared perfectly with an unique potato side. My taste buds are officially spoiled. We chose to dine outside and that was a perfect option. And there is a parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. Lincoln Park is a gem!

Devine, delicious, beautiful, smart and welcoming. I'm at a loss for words at how good the food is....inventive, tasty and clever. The service feels like a really cool friend feeding you at their home.

Swanky/burlesque meets modern era comfort comes to mind when I come to this ahh- door-able establishment. The wine and beer list is phenomenal and priced well, if you buy the whole bottle....and 'WINE-NOT", you are at a wine bar.I do have to mention- Its kinda high for just a glass, Its deceivingly priced since the have 1/2 and full pours, so watch out. That is my only complaint, otherwise the cheese plate was excellent and the menu looked superb.

  • Julie M.

Great wines and delicious food. I'm particularly a fan of the Brussels sprouts and the cheese boards here. Done perfectly every time, and the cheeses on the board are always local which is a big plus in my book. The wine selection is great as well. The only thing I would suggest for improvement is a regular chocolate-based dessert that has dark or rich chocolate. Their chocolate caramel pudding just tastes like caramel (don't get any chocolate flavor, it's totally lost). Nothing goes together for dessert like a little bit (or a lot? ;)) of red wine with chocolate. Hopefully they remedy this soon!!!

It's a fun place to go to. They had my favorite drink and the food I had was good. Typical San Anselmo parking issues with getting there but once in, it's a nice a chill place to be. I haven't been back since my initial visit but it's always on my list of possible places to go.

Loved it! I found it through the favorable Yelp reviews. And I agree with all of them. Great wine list, excellent food and service. Unpretentious, cozy atmosphere. I think the food portions may be on the small side for some, but I love to dine that way. Superb.

Just returned last night to Lincoln Park after being severely underwhelmed a year ago. On that visit ... food was ok, but way overpriced. And it sounded better than it tasted. I'm shocked that there are so many good reviews for the food, because it really wasn't very memorable at all. This time, wow. What a difference. New executive chef has really changed things. The menu changes regularly so you may not have these options, but everything was truly expertly prepared. Fantastic attention to detail. Every dish had some little addition that just made it over the top (like the pork belly came with the fried mataki mushrooms which added the perfect crunch + salt to a rich, fatty dish). Fried brussels sprouts - delectable, and a reasonable portion for $5. Crispy sunchokes - I don't know what that crispy coating is, but it's fantastic. Personally I like my sunchokes a little less done, but I can't argue with these - the contrast between the crispy exterior and the gooey innards was delightful. Pork belly Arugula salad with confit duck Chicken wings - SO GOOD. We had to order another helping of these crispy, deboned wings. Cheese plate - So much more than just cheese. Our board came with walnut puree, apple butter, fried mataki mushrooms, black currants, as well as the cheese selection (if they have the Brillat-Savarin, get it. Literally the best cheese I've ever had). And a healthy serving of MHBB bread (which by itself is wonderful) so we didn't run out of bread before all the cheesy + goodness ran out. Also complex cocktails (under 24% ABV) and a healthy wine selection. Wine always seems too expensive to me in restaurants but I think that's just me. Bottles from $38-96, many locally produced if that's your thing. As for ambiance, it was surprisingly uncrowded for a Saturday night. Maybe the word hasn't gotten out yet about the new chef? I know when it is crowded it can be very loud, so if that's not your scene, come on an off night.

From the moment we walked in the host/waitress was super inviting and friendly. She set the stage for a casual, romantic evening and carried all the way through. The farm fresh o table meal was exquisite and unexpected. Some may say the plates were small but I thought they were just the right size. It allowed you to get a few plates and the price was well worth it. We ordered the beef slider, artichoke with potatoe cream sauce, an earthy green onion and garlic risotto and to finish it all of a savory mouth watering pork shoulder that fell of the bone. I'm recommending this place to all my local friends and family.

Hands down best restaurant in San Anselmo and one of the best in Marin. Probably best bang for the buck in Marin. Not a lot of choices, but what they offer is ALWAYS (been there about 10 times), delicious, on the very upper end of creative and very reasonably priced. The service is always fine and friendly. Among many standouts, their brussel sprouts are one of the best vegetable dishes to be found anywhere. Calamari and watermelon salad - perfect. The atmosphere is unpretentious and ideal for an intimate evening.

Very tasty and fresh. Appetizers so good, we had them for dessert course! Good service. We did ask for a little moderation of the music; it's a small dining room with all hard surfaces reflecting sounds.

5 stars for price point for food and wine, excellent service, serves til Midnight on Friday and Saturday. Favorites are the Sliders, there were 2 options..Pork Belly and Kobe Beef. Brussels Sprouts were a great share item. Had the cheese plate for dessert. One of the best presentations of a cheese plate I have ever seen. Love the pour and more options. The pour is 4oz , more is 8oz.. so you can mix a few pours or commit an evening to the more. Also offered gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options

Fantastic atmosphere. The food is simple and delicious. The chef takes his time to prepare wonderful a eclectic menu. I highly recommend the wygu bee slider. With a nice local Pinot noir.

Steve, the chef/owner, is a culinary genius. Every dish is interesting and delicious and the changing menu is reason enough to keep going back. The wine and beer options are enough to satisfy the most discriminating palate. The service and atmosphere are friendly and casual yet upscale. Lincoln Park is lways a good choice.

We were there when it was really slow and had a great time. Jessie was our waitress and she was great. Was helpful, made light and fin conversation with us, it was a group of 3 girls and we all 3 really liked her, and she always made sure we had enough wine! We were just there for drinks and appetizers, we had the hamburger sliders and the cheese fondue. The fondue was a special and it was delicious! I wish they would put it on their regular menu. The sliders were great as well. The wine selection was very good as well. Love love loved it!

  • Mike S.

Great place for wine. The service is outstanding. The food was just awesome. The burger slider is nothing but perfect, even the bun was tasty. We also tried the cheese board which was also awesome. This is the 2nd time we have been here and both times were great.

Food decent, wine selection very good. But, we sat at the bar on a recent (not so busy) Saturday night. Unfortunately, the bartender was very cold and unwelcoming. A bartender in a small place like this can really set the tone, and if she had a personality or was warm and friendly, I would give this place 4 or 5 stars. And, of course, I'd be much more willing to come back. I do hope this place does well, but it will probably largely depend on the people they hire and keep employed.

3 words: chicken & waffles. Perfectly fried chicken drumettes w/out all that grease on top of a lightly herbed Belgian-style waffle. Drizzle on some of that homemade sweet syrup and you're good to go! Brought some friends along to my second dining experience and learned that this item will no longer be on the menu - apparently the chef likes switching things up. I was heartbroken, but was told to share my thoughts on their Facebook page in the hopes that they'll end up keeping it. If you haven't tried it yet, maybe there's still a chance! Don't miss out on this deliciousness! Finger-licking good indeed!

  • Tanja Z.

Nothing special, food and wine alike way overpriced. Pours are poor. Food nothing special and portions tiny. I payed $9 for a 'heirloom and beet salad'. That 'salad' turned out to be one heirloom tomato and one beet, cut up into pieces served in a cereal bowl with some balsamic and oil. Same with the kale salad my friend ordered: Her's too looked kind of lost in that cereal bowl. Really!?

First of all, we love having a solid wine bar in San Anselmo. Much needed and longed for. It felt very appropriate having a wine list focusing on the smaller producers close to home given all the wine that is available within a short distance from where we live. We got a couple of things from the menu and enjoyed ordering whatever sounded good from a menu that was not rigidly split up into courses. The watermelon panzanella with fried calamari was the highlight for us but we also enjoyed the beef heart and pork pot roast. The one big downer was the acoustics. The place was full on a Friday night but people were not particularly loud, yet due to all the hard surfaces, we kept having to repeat ourselves sitting on opposite sides of the smallest table in the bar. It was rather uncomfortable and more due to the harshness of the acoustics than the actual sound level. All that would be required would be to bring in some heavy fabrics to address this and I can see us coming back time and time again. Until then, it is likely to only be an occasional stop.

I know it's a wine bar, but think restaurant if you are in the mood for a meal. The dishes were all delicious and very creative and innovative. The service was great. I went in wanting to forget a bad day, and I left feeling treated and cared for by the staff.

  • F. T.

Food quality and wine quality are lacking in consistency. They have gotten too much into fried foods, small portions and sometimes things are not even cooked properly. Disappointing. (Note-I have given them numerous chances of late to no avail.)

  • Deb k.

A great little place with an excellent chef, some very good eats (the brussels sprouts were the best I've ever had, loved the sunchokes, thought the duck confit croustade was elegant pairing of flavors, and would order the pork belly again in an instant. We were there with our pup, so sat in a sidewalk table and it's not the most conducive location for that, and the other tweak is that the tiny cafe tables make it all a bit of a squeeze, but overall it was a great value, wonderful foodie fine, and a welcoming local joint that we intend to become regulars at.

I can tell I'm going to be spending a lot of time at this place. The service is friendly and attentive, even when it's busy. Lot's of local and sustainably raised meats, but also veggie and fish items. I had a roasted halibut that was done to perfection - lightly crispy on the outside, tender and moist on the inside. My wife was raving about the chevre. The wine list is limited, but has fun little selections (I started with a rose' of Pinot Noir and then moved to a lovely Zin blend). It's very new and, I'm sure, will only get better. But this newcomer is already a big hit. And -- brace yourselves -- the prices are reasonable. The two of us ate and had 3 glasses of wine each for about $60 before tip.

Went late (for Marin) on a Friday night and only had to wait about 15 minutes. Great wine list (lots of choices and reasonable prices) and terrific food. Not sure it's meaningful to list what we had as the menu changes so frequently, but we split the watermelon & panzanella salad, burrata bread bowl, a roasted cod dish and TCHO chocolate cake. I do wish they'd take reservations, but can't be too picky. We'll be back and I really hope this gem of a place makes it.

What a fun and classy little spot! The dishes are small but unique, creative, and very tasty. We didn't do drinks but the menu looked good. Would recommend this place for a fun, light dinner or cocktails and bites.

Good food and good wine. My only complaint is that its menu should cater to more of the gastro-pub type. Currently its food is not quite a wine bar and not quite a full restaurant/gastro-pub it is somewhere lost in between. Don't really get the feeling that a full meal is there but the price point and appys are too much for nibbles. Also, would suggest a kiddos menu for San Anselmo. That said I will definitely be back....if for no other reason to watch it grow and succeed.

Wine selection is great and his is what you come for. Service is good. Food isn't as good as we heard and the selection is very limited (including them being out of a few choices). If you want wine and limited appetizers, fine. If you want food selection and a real meal, go elsewhere.

Tried this once, very friendly staff. Wine prices and Chardonnay selection high and limited. Cheese plate tooooo small, nicely done but way too much $$. Cute location. I judge all wine bars to the wine merchant at the SF Ferry building and it seems none stack with selection or prices

We've been a dozen times. We love this wine bar. The food is outstanding (brussels sprouts, little gem salad, soups, sliders) and the wine is amazing. There are are some favorites that are often on the menu (Watkins Pinot) and new ones rotating through frequently. Service is excellent: warm and attentive yet unhurried. We love eating in the city, but we appreciate having a hip, classy wine bar with local and sustainable values close to home.

I have consistently been dropping by Lincoln Park since it opened and it's just getting better and better! The staff are SO friendly and even on their busy nights they are attentive and they don't rush me. I've met friends here for a girls night out , snuggled on the comfy sofa-like banquets with my honey and even brought my kids who enjoyed their non-alcoholic offerings and food. Speaking of the food, it is by far some of the best I've ever tasted, Steve Simmons is a genius. My all time favorites are the salmon and the watermelon salad. The wine offering is delicious and I am hooked on the Watkins wines, the sauvignon blanc is my favorite. I am already looking forward to my next visit. I wish I could give them 10 stars!

Not only is this a great wine bar, but this is a total farm to table experience as well. The Watkins Family Pinot Noir was a perfect compliment to my entire meal tonight. Cod tonight was to die for.... watermelon and calamari beyond belief.... Braised kale -- doubly beyond belief. Ended with the cheese plate and chocolate pudding -- both of which were perfect closers for the meal. The price point isn't inexpensive, but it is positioned perfectly for the exceptional quality (and quantity) of food that is offered. Service was engaging, friendly, professional and the atmosphere vibrant and eclectic. Welcome Lincoln Park. We needed you and now you have arrived. Thrive and be successful. You help to build community.

I can't tell which I like more about Lincoln Park - the food or the wine. I've been here a few times now and had great meals shared with friends each time. The staff is friendly and attentive; the perfect guides to the best wine and beer pairings.

I found the noise level so oppressive that it was hard to enjoy much about this place. The noise has not only a negative effect on your dining experience, but also impacts the service. Since the server can't hear you and you can't hear the server, ordering is a chore and some things come out late, wrong or not at all. There are also some glitches that need to be corrected. The menu is written each day, but in the dining room, there were different menus on each wall. Because you couldn't really communicate with the server (the noise, again), it was very difficult to figure out what was being served that day. Also, the handwriting of the menus is very difficult to read. As for food, it was okay. I ordered chicken drumettes with butternut squash polenta (as described on the menu), but received chicken drumsticks with tomatoes and polenta. There is a big difference between a drumette (white meat from the wing) and a drumstick (dark meat). Also, there's a big difference beween butternut squash and tomatoes. The wine was the best part. I had a delightful rose of pinot noir.

I enjoyed the modern and simplistic look of this intimate spot. The best aspect of my experience was the service. The food was just okay. I was disappointed with the very small menu.

Two glasses of wine, and a split of two very small sized salads.. $46.00. Ridiculous. The wine was good.... the salads were good... but the price was sky high. Back to reality Lincoln Park!

Had a wonderful experience at Lincoln Park! Started with a cheese plate that our server Jessie presented to us beautifully. Loved the small pour options on the wine list. It allowed us to try a few...We also ordered the whole cod which was enough for 2 people to share.. Had a great time with great food and service!

Food was good, but not spectacular. Wine & Beer selection great. I only sat at the bar, but the atmosphere was good. People were having fun. Cool decor...kudos for making the effort in the style department. My only beef was the bartender. She was really cold...so much so that I'd say she was icy. The effect on the patrons somewhat muted the fun. It was so pronounced that I'll give her the benefit of the doubt that she wasn't feeling well and struggling to get through her shift. I'm hoping a second visit has a warmer welcome.

Once again the food is extraordinary! The staff is very friendly BUT...... The acoustics in this restaurant are painful. All I wanted to do was get out of this restaurant before my eardrums burst. Maybe I just need to go there on a weeknight when it is less crowded but I probably will not return. Last night our entrees were brought before the salad and appetizer as they still seem to be unable to graceful deal with the volume of business.

We have been to this new wine bar a few times already and have had great food, wine AND beer. The chef shows terrific knowledge and respect for local and organic foods. We have found the staff to be attentive and very nice. I was very impressed at how much thought has gone into each menu item...wine, food AND beer. Oh, yeah, you must try the beer. Our server was like a beer sommelier. His recommendations were perfectly paired with our food. Btw, Fork lacked patrons. Lincoln Park is a winner.

Some of the most amazing food have ever had!! The brussels sprouts were incredible and the wine selection left nothing to be desired. The bread and butter was also a stand out. Oh yeah, and the pudding!! Can't wait to come back. :)

We tried this place last night for the first time and I love it! We had the Brussels sprouts with a sweet wine reduction... warning!!!! Very Addictive!!! We also had the special steak with beet salad and the chocolate pudding with a sweet basil whip. No complaints from us on the food :) I'm looking forward to visiting again. The service was also top notch. I read the noise level was a problem with some diners but we didn't find it bothersome at all.

My husband and I dropped in to Lincoln Park one night when working in San Anselmo. It is such a friendly welcoming place that we ended up sitting there for hours tasting a little bit of much that was on the menu, chatting with neighborhood people and the really nice staff while drinking great wine. It will be our go to place when in the area and BTW, that Calamari Watermelon salad is outstanding.

We had a spectacular dinner on Father's Day. Service was excellent, wine list stands out as exceptional (Mathissason White was delicious and very well priced) and food is out of the ordinary and really well prepared (how often to you get to taste cold watermelon soup with a spicy kick?). We have a large family and everyone from the ten year old(with his tasty chicken and waffles) to mom and dad with our buratta, salads and entrees wery very happy. Even the apple sauce was great (that came with my son's chicken). Steve and his team have it going on........

We only go late at night when we can get a table as we hate to wait in line to eat. The entrees are very good, even though there is not so much to choose from. The wine list is very good and I've been delighted with every bottle that I've had. I recommend the deep fried whole fish - Yum! My kids like the comfort foods like sliders and drumsticks & waffles. You can't go wrong here, but the lines can be annoying. Also, super inexpensive for what they serve. I heard that they just started breakfast as well!

This is a really great addition to ross valley. Great design, great atmosphere, great wine and beer selection - and the food is just awesome for those of us that tire with heading into the city for good food, this place helps a lot.

I went here for my birthday recently, it was a mellow, rainy Saturday evening. The place was mildly busy, plenty of places to choose for seating, and we were greeted immediately. We chose Lincoln Park mainly because I've wanted to check out one of San Anselmo's new wine bars, and I knew the old owner of Bubba's Diner (also in San Anselmo), and had read that he is involved with Lincoln Park (married to the founder perhaps?), so this gave me good reason to trust it ahead of time. I was looking forward to the Skywalker Ranch Wagyu sliders because I'd been able to visit Skywalker Ranch recently and was able to see the Wagyu cows themselves (where I happened to run into the same former owner of Bubba's Diner since he now works at Skywalker preparing meals every day for their wonderful kitchen). So it was cool to make (and eat) that Wagyu connection. Excellent, ultra tender beef, tasty. I wish they could be bigger! Of course that would make them quite expensive as Wagyu beef is ULTRA premium and difficult to come by. We decided to share and finish with the white cheddar fondue, very yummy but I wish it would've come with more bread/apples to dip into it, as we ran out of the dippables and had quite a bit of fondue left over. So we just finished the fondue straight, which speaks well for the fondue. Our wine was excellent, we each had 1 glass of Hauck Zinfandel from Sonoma County. Our waitress and food server were both very warm and friendly, the ambiance is pleasant, and wasn't overly loud as several other reviewers have indicated here, though again there weren't that many people there which I'm sure was a factor. Our bill pre-tip was $54. Not bad, but that was because we split a fondue, and we only had 1 glass of wine each. It could have easily gotten into the $70-$80 range, which is why I gave the place 4 stars instead of 5. I'm just not looking to spend that much money to go out to eat. Fair or not, that's the budget I have to work with, in spite of living in marvelous Marin. I will go back, but I have to wait till next payday :-/

There are a lot of things to love about Lincoln Park.. particularly the focus on small batch, locally produced wines with thoughtful attention to both presentation and flavors. It was a fun place to go with my group of six friends for a casual birthday celebration, very relaxed and being a Wednesday, not too noisy, though I would have welcomed more of a buzz.. to go with the quality of the food being served and to warm up the room. It was a tad nippy in the restaurant itself. The ceilings are high so there is an illusion of space but the place itself is actually pretty intimate, but oddly appointed with poster sized photos of local sidewalk curbs, storefronts and cars parked on the street. I'm not sure if there is a statement about "terroir" and the neighborhood that has given rise to this place or not but I think more attention could be paid to the art work. It would enhance an otherwise neutral, bordering on bland environment. It's very spare and empty. This shifts the focus to the wine and food being served so if that is the objective, they have succeeded. BUT I think the whole mis en scene is important. It was the only thing lacking in an otherwise very pleasurable dining experience. As a wine bar in contrast to white table cloth dining I'm looking for a bit more coziness. Our server was genuinely attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. The tasting/small plates menu is perfect for sharing and covers a lot of important pairing bases and wine list is reasonably priced. In addition to flights, the option of ordering an 8 oz pour by the glass is innovative. We loved our bottle of the Pinot Noir Rose ( Watkins Family. less than 100 cases produced) starter of cheese plate followed by cheese fondue, the latter served with bread cubes and apples, though I would have preferred it to be served warmer, texturally, it was a very light and airy cheesy roux than a traditional fondue.. Didn't try them but would love to: Sevillano Olives with Chocolate! The brussel sprouts were truly outstanding.. blanched and flash fried, finished with a drizzle of sweet red wine reduction. Two of our party ordered the Calamari Caesar salad. The dressing was lemony good and a perfect foil for the crispy good calamari rings. Our 2nd bottle of wine, Spiral, was a well priced blend of white Rhone varietals, Viognier, Roussane and Marsanne from a small bio-dynamic producer, predictably named Cowhorn from Applegate, Oregon, nicely paired with my oyster slider, perfectly fried, not greasy at all, accompanied by three mini potato wedges, homemade ketchup, pickle slices and coleslaw. I shed the bread and just ate the oyster in four bites. Delish! My friends ordered the wagyu beef sliders, similarly adorned. All were savory and delicious. Our last bottle was locally produced Foggy Bottom non-vintage Pinot Noir from Easkoot. Produced here in Marin county. It's an earthy pinot that went nicely with the Burrata Bread Bowl with mushrooms. It was tasty but by the time it arrived in our progression of dishes, there was no need for anything else with bread as a principle ingredient. The "bowl" was the same bread roll offered with the sliders. The verdict on our final plate, their signature dish of Buttermilk fried chicken drumettes with herb waffle was mixed. It's a pretty generous portion. I really liked it, especially since we shared it and just had a bite each.. I'm not sure I would have wanted a whole plate to myself and the waffle was light. The little dishes of sweet honey and apple sauce were fantastic, too. I admit that I was pretty full by the time it arrived, but we made room for a luxurious chocolate pudding and the almond cake with ginger whipped cream. I can't wait to go back and try all the other things we didn't get to try this time. Bring friends, it's too hard to choose.

Five stars - no doubt. And much needed. The crowd on their first Friday night was evidence of that. What has been said so far is quite accurate so I am not going to rehash. I will just add that Steven is one of the true gems of the county. And the hip, pretty and well dressed staff acted like they were part of the party. Very, very nice. Now to pick. I felt that the cheese plate was uninspired. Just a couple of fairly bland hard cheeses. No soft ripening, no goat. Boring! The wine list was anything but boring. It is rare for me to find a list where I do not recognize one name on the list. Frankly, my feeling is that there should be at least one or two comfort wines at a comfort price level to make folks feel that they are still on earth...and the is Syrah the most expensive wine on the list! Who drinks Syrah? So share one slider (and I do mean one), one heirloom tomato salad (very, very good), and one cheese board (boring alert), two glasses of wine: $100 with tip. It's great if you don't mind that tab.

Attending their opening night, and I would definitely recommend Lincoln Park. Stephen is an amazing chef, the wine selection is beautiful, the decor & ambiance is classy & inviting. The cherry chocolate dessert was outstanding - we ordered 2! Well done!
